Arkansas Farm Bureau names pair of summer interns
05/29/08

LITTLE ROCK — Arkansas Farm Bureau has hired two University of Arkansas students as summer interns.

Dru Glaze, daughter of Danny and Christy Glaze of Camden, is interning with the Public Relations department.  She will complete a degree in agricultural communications in December.

“This is a great opportunity to apply the skills I have learned in class to a real-world setting,” said Glaze.

Fendley Ragland, son of Gerald and Yvonne Ragland of Harrison, is interning with Farm Bureau’s Organization and Member Programs, Governmental Affairs, and Commodity and Regulatory Affairs departments.  He will complete a degree in agricultural business in December.

The 12-week internship allows the students to apply knowledge learned in the classroom to a working environment and explore possible career paths they may pursue upon completion of their degree.
